Even though one cannot call Baron K.K. Raush von Traubenberg (1871-1935) a distinguished artist in Russia before the revolution, his work is still of great interest ue to its distinctive characteristics. There development of the artist saw two stages: life in Russia and after immigration in 1920s. He used various materials, worked in different genres, painted portraits of his contemporaries,  created models for Faberge and horse figures, fulfilled orders for the Imperial Porcelain Factory in Saint Petersburg. His contribution in the general development of European culture, especially  the decorative-applied arts segment, is significant.
