Brooch "Panther"

The Siberian Collection of Peter the Great belongs to the most interesting ones held in the State Hermitage. The core of the collection of Scythian gold items were 200 ancient objects presented to the Tsar by Nikita Demidov, an owner of mines and metallurgical works in the Urals, to celebrate the birth of the heir to the throne. The brooch has been modeled after one of the masterpieces of the collection, the golden plaque known as the Kelermes Panther (7th century BC), which decorated the shield of a Scythian warrior. This exquisite, stylish brooch shot with gold will emphasize the attractiveness of its owner.
