Brooch "Tagar Stag"

A silver reproduction of a bronze brooch (6th-5th century BC) from the Hermitage collection. The stylistic use of animals, in this case the figure of a stag, is the most distinctive artistic phenomenon of the ancient world. Ancient masters created stylized renderings of animals on weapons, harnesses and clothing. These figures served as both ornamentation and protection against evil spirits.
