The first jigsaw puzzles appeared in the mid 18th century, and soon became an entertaining diversion for the aristocracy. Centuries later, they are still favorite brain-teasers for children and adults alike. "Horses at the Porch" was painted by Adam Albrecht, a celebrated German artist.
