This bronze figurine of the Egyptian god Ptah is a reproduction of a faience statuette (7th-6th century BC), which was originally a temple decoration. In ancient Egyptian mythology Ptah was the creator god. Later he became the patron of craftsmen and the arts. He occupied a very important place in the pantheon of gods, and a sculpture of him was always included in Egyptian temples.
